About Me

Hi! My name is Megan Thompson and I am the stablehand/rider at Westfield Park Arabians. Currently, I am studying a bachelor of Education at Edith Cowan University in Joondalup. I am in my third year and only 2 to go! As for riding, I have been sitting on a horse before I could walk and gre up in a small town, Narrogin, where riding was my sixth sense! From there i entered the hacking ring with my very special pony Sandel Special Guest (Jordan) and began my competitive riding. I have been riding, competitive, for over ten years now and love it! There is nothing better than that feeling of having a horse

what do you like about arabian horses??

I honestly was never really into arabians until i started working at Westfield, but I would have to say it's their calming ature, their ability to make the environment instantly more calm when your around them. Except for when they are at competitions!!

My real name is Fern. I am 25 yrs old and have 8 horses of my own. I have been around or riding from before i could walk. i live near Albany in Western Australia.

what i like about horses not just arabs is that the moment that you get on your horses back all your problems seem to float away. At that moment all there is just you and your horse and total freedom.

Arabian horses has been a child hood dream.. The parts that represents an Arabian in looks is what I love about them. There is nothing as breathtaking as an Arabian proudly doing its paces.

About Me

Started riding when I was 11 years old till about 22 years.
Owned 2 thoroughbred mares and then took on a pony (Wendamar Mikado) and a partbred unreg mare.

Had a long break and started again at 33 years (crazy - I know!)

Proud owner of the very beautiful Mystica Dancia (pictured) and we've been together for nearly 3 years.

what do you like about arabian horses??

Watching them "strutting their stuff" in the paddock is the best thing - tail in the air, floating above the ground, nostrils flared. The most beautiful horse in the world!
